Christmas Card 1999

"We had a very eventful year.  We played, we grew, we slept, we pooped and we played some more."  Zachary, age 2

Dad got a new job as Director of IT (Information Technology) with Metal-Fab in January and is really enjoying less stress.

Mom did the usual tax-season thing and kept very busy until April 15.  She usually works 4 or 5 days during tax-season and only 2 or 3 days during the off-season.

We sold our airplane.  Dad just didn't get enough time to fly and it was costing us too much money for the amount we flew it.  Hayden was really, really sad.

We went on several vacations this year.  We had a blast on every one.

Hayden started school this year and is having a really great time learning.

I turned 2 years old in September and loved the first birthday I can remember.

Halloween was great fun and we took advantage of the Saturday / Sunday issue to Trick-or-Treat on both days in Newton and Wichita.  Tons of candy, still eating it, major sugar-rush.  Love it.

Dad finally finished his CNE (Certified Netware Engineer).

He is now officially certified (or Mom says certifiable).  He started studying and taking the 7 tests last November and finished just before the one year deadline ran out (no pressure, Dad).  We didn't get to see him very much some nights and weekends.  He hopes to complete several other certifications in the next couple of years as time (and family) permits.

This Thanksgiving we headed south to Houston to visit Dad's sister Amy and her family.  It was real fun but we brought the cold weather with us and didn't get to appreciate the usual Houston warmth quite as much.  We saw their new house, visited NASA and relaxed as much as 4 kids will allow.

Y2K is approaching and Dad is very busy preparing his new work for it.  Something about bugs, digits, years and problems.  We don't quite understand it but he seems to.  Hope the 'lectricity stays on.  I don't want to miss Rug-Rats or Tigger.

Everyone have a Merry Christmas!

Don't forget to sign the guest book!
